Question / Help How do I use the new Replay buffer feature in Studio?

Love that it's finally put in, but can't work out how to use it! haha

I've got as far as assigning the hotkey in settings> Hotkeys...from there I don't know what to do. I don't know how to redirect where the buffer is, how to capture it etc.

Any help appreciated :)

Change output mode to Simple and you'll find an option to enable it under Recording. Note that a 2 minute replay buffer used about 3-4 GB of memory and that was assuming I set the quality to high with medium file size.

That would mean my normal recording output would be "simple" too, right? As in no multi-channel audio?

Yes, Replay Buffer Recordings available only in Simple mode (v17.0.0). You can adjust file naming for "replays" in Settings>Advanced (folders at naming not supported by now), output directory same as for recordings.

That's weird. I set mine to 50000kbps, and 5 mins was about 2gb. The quality was pretty nice too compared to shadowplay.
