Question / Help how do i stream 480p fullscreen games?

I've tried running games like minecraft, dayz and left 4 dead on twitch using the resolution 1280x720.
I kept getting feedback of people saying it was laggy and stuttering, so i downscaled to 720x480 and this solved the problem.
But, now my streams have black bars on the sides, which i really dont want, is there a way to stream in 480p and have it fullscreen without the bars?

Hmm correct downscale for 1280x720 should be 852x480. Did you use the downscale option of OBS or entered the values yourself? I would recommend to use the downscale by OBS.

Seconded. The multiplier downscale will give MUCH better image fidelity results, as well (with the exception of text going all fuzzy).
