How do I register a series / movie application?

Hello, can I record with OBS Studio without using the Display Capture source an application that offers me series and movies, live sports, shows and live TV channels that is installed in Windows?
 
You can probably use OBS Studio to capture some TV or streaming app, but it isn't designed as stream or TV recorder, so it doesn't have (and never will) functions to schedule recordings or tune to a station or switch to some stream.
