Question / Help How do I record without streaming?

Hi I'm really bad at computer stuff and I was interested in just recording my gameplay such as fraps without streaming; however, the button is greyed out. I tried looking for a solution but the majority of the guides are for streaming. I'm wondering if it is possible to just record. Also does the max buffer size and bitrate still have to be high if i am not streaming for good quality?

Select "File Output Only" in Settings -> Broadcast Settings -> Mode
Then when selecting a file path I'd recommend you to change the file type to FLV, that way your files should work even if OBS crashes or your pc freezes unexpectedly.
