How do I record my mic and game audio on different tracks

I've followed serval tutorials all saying the same thing I've tried creating new profiles scene collections and when I export the recording to Hitfilm all I get is the video mp4 and one other track with all the sounds playing on one

This is what I do to get separate tracks. Whether Hitfilm "sees" them is a different issue.

You need to make assignments which source will go to which track in Edit->Advanced Audio properties.
