Question / Help how do i make a keyed out gif?

im using twitch alerts and im setting up donations. i looked at the gifs that were already on there but i wanna make my own. i downloaded a video off of youtube of spongebob on a green screen but when i convert that to gif and test the alert it is not keyed out. the green is still there. how do i properly do this??

This isn't an OBS question but more than likely you will need to make the use of layers in your recording, not green. So instead of green in your gif, use nothing.

well yeah i keyed out the green, then it changed to red.i clicked turn on the transparency grid and it looked keyed out perfectly but when i saved it the green was still there idk why
