Question / Help How do I listen to audio from my El Gato Game Capture HD?

Hey Guys, I currently have a El Gato Game Capture HD and I have an Xbox 360 connected to it via HDMI, and HDMI passthrough to my tv.
On OBS my stream's audio (including my mic) sound great. Just one little problem - I personally can't hear any game audio without resorting to turning on my tv. Which in turn, gets picked up by the mic and makes it echo and sound terrible.
I tried tapping into the TV's built in RCA out jacks by going rca (red and white cable) to a 3.5 plug y adapter into headphones but that sounds god awful and very low.
I just want to be able to personally hear the game audio while the stream is going.
Any tips would be super helpful, thank you!

OBS cannot make the audio playback at the same time as when the audio occurs due to the fact that the device's data is encoded and delayed (to fit over the limited USB 2.0 bandwidth). By the time it reaches the program, that audio will already have happened a second or more ago. You'll have to use another means of hearing the audio (though how I'm not entirely sure, you can get HDMI splitters for that sort of task, and it should be possible to tap in to the RCA like you tried and increase the volume, though I'm not entirely sure how)
