How can we have a setup so we stream from VLC and get OBS to pick up the stream and upstream to streaming video server (I have the upstream bit set up)?
We are doing a stream later this week and want to set up a contingency if the person streaming looses thee internet connection. We are streaming a 90-minute compilation of short films. So what I thought I would do is start the file in VLC and link it to OBS and start the file at (roughly) the same time. That way if we loose the stream from the main person (who is streaming from OBS) I can just hit Start Streaming (I will scrub to the beginning of the current film first).
Alternatively, if there is another easy way of doing something similar I am all ears.
Regards,
Stay safe,
Ben
