Question / Help how do i improve my streaming quality?

the performance is so bad and 720p videos should have better quality.
how can i improve my streaming quality? does switching my "quality balance" to 8/9 helps?

Quality balance doesn't do anything with CBR, thats only for VBR which you won't use. DayZ is a very hard game to look good with low bitrate. The only thing you can actually do to improve quality is to raise your bitrate. Using a heavier x264 preset will help, but it won't do magic. You can't expect perfect quality out of streaming. Your settings are fine as people can actually watch it. The higher you raise your bitrate the less that people can watch lag free (unless you are partnered).

or bump back my resolution to 1920*1080p? and raise the bitrate to 3000kbps?

but there are very minor difference between fast and very fast in x264 cpu preset....

Yes, there will only be small differences that's why I said it wouldn't do magic. Also if you back your res back to 1080p with 3000 bitrate it's going to be the same result as you have now. Keep the resolution at 720p then increase the bitrate until you are happy with it. 2500-3000 should be good enough, but just test for yourself and see how happy you are with it.
