How do I get OBS to not only be streaming/recording while OBS is the current tab?

Title is pretty self explanatory. OBS refuses to record/stream a video while I'm not tabbed in. Please help?

In case you can't understand what you mean by that, this is my livestream from earlier this evening.
Any advice is appreciated.

Start with pinned post in this forum about posting your OBS Studio log (from a streaming/recording session) when asking for help/support [article link in my .sig]

And current tab technically doesn't make sense [and you are asking for technical support, so be careful with terminology .. it can make a difference] Tabs are usually a referenced as part of a browser... so??? did you mean current 'active' application? if yes, that typically means your computer is under-powered and when you bring another application to foreground (make active), the operating system has to constrain background processes (including OBS Studio) to make sure the foreground app can run (given priority)
