How do I flip the screen?

I want to film a puppet show and it is essential that I can film with mirror view. How do I flip horizontally please? (and why isnt there a mirror button built in?)

If your suggestion is going to be to right click the Video Capture Device and select Transform, pretty much all options are greyed out.

The operation to flip a source horizontally is to right-click the source > Transform > Flip horizontal. For my webcam, this is working fine without me doing anything special. It just works and was never any different.
If this is greyed out for you, there may be some issue with your setup or your source. To reset the source, Transform > Reset transform. If this doesn't work, delete the source and create it again.

Make sure your source is unlocked. If the icon is locked then the Transform options will be grayed out.
