Question / Help How do I fix the black screen on the recording?

Hello, I have a problem about using the OBS recorder software. Every time I try to record a video an if I watch it later, it's just a black screen with audio. I have tried every single Youtube tutorial and none of these help. I am using an Windows 7 laptop.

I am having this same issue. I have watched many videos and have read several things and I think I finally got it to where it SHOULD work. But it's not. On the display capture screen, I can see my desktop but when I go to play it back it's just black with audio. I do not have AMD but I do have a laptop and I have already downloaded VLC and Quick Time to play back the videos on all with no luck. Please someone help me. I also have it set to MP4 and I tried MKV but those also didn't help.

Thank you, some how and I have no idea how, it started working....I hope it's still working in the morning because 5 hours later, it's time for bed. :) Thanks again.
