How can I pause previously recorded videos that I am sharing (in a live stream)

How can I pause previously recorded and published videos (from someone else's YouTube channel) that I am sharing in a live stream (on my YouTube channel)?

I want to be able to pause such a video, in order to:
a.)
discuss what has just been said/shown, before moving on to whatever happens next in those videos,
and
b.) avoid copyright strikes.

I tried just adding a link of a given video as added "Source" in OBS. But that just forces a continuous view/listen of that video; without any ability to pause and discuss during my livestreams.

Thanks

Use the controls in the player. In the case of youtube, the controls on the youtube player.
a) million do this.
b) depends on the content you are showing and if the owner of said content don't claim it's copyright.

Anything else may be against the ToS of a particular site. It's recommended you read the ToS of the sites you're using the videos from.

If I add the Youtube video (the pre-recorded one on someone else's channel) as a "Browser" in the "Source" (in OBS), ... it denies me the ability to pause the video. It also blasts that video on full volume and denies me the ability to turn that volume down.

And yet, if I add it as "Windows Capture", the drop-down menu only lists the tab I want to stream from .. at first.
When I switch tabs to do other things (which I need to do), the "Windows Capture" stops streaming from the tab I selected.
At that point, it automatically switches to showing viewers the tabs I switched to in Chrome.
So then when i go back to find the intended tab for it to stream from, ... that tab will either be greyed out, or it simply won't show up anymore in the drop-down menu ... even though the tab I want to stream from still exists and is still playing the video I want to share.

In a browser source click on interact (bellow the preview) Now you can use it as a normal browser.
But as you may notice it's more easy and comfortable to use the windows capture and use the browser itself. Also, when you change focus from the window the video may stop (browser behaviour) so you need to use different browser windows to avoid this.
My advice is to focus on what you are doing and when you need to check something else pause or stop the recording and then restart it.
