I've tried OBS on and off but I can never get it to work right. Today I thought to try again. I tried capturing my desktop. I went to the Hotkeys sections to select a start and stop key, but it seems no matter what I choose as the start and stop keys, nothing works. The only way I can get the recording to start or stop is from the main screen. This means that viewers would see this main page while watching the video which of course is ridiculous.
If I try to use a function key, I get an error (see attachment). If I use an ordinary key, it does nothing.
Do you have any idea what could be causing the problem of the hotkeys and if there is any way to get them to work? It would make for a great start at least.
