So, muting the volume of the NDI I lose the ability to adjust the volume of individual feeds from Skype. I have the echo even though I do not have any desktop Audio enabled. What's the deal?

You have to check your audio settings/configuration in OBS. It differs alongside with the setup that we have. I don’t see any problem in adjusting the volume of individual NDI calls in OBS. Why? Simply because skype has an automatic adjustment feature for our microphones. Echo for me, as far as my setup is concerned, is not in any way related to desktop audio. The echo is a result of duplication of sound output from skype itself and NDI on OBS. Muting the individual NDI calls, solved the problem for me. Try it too!

I havent read all posts in this tread, but as far as I see there is no fix to the double sound on Skype NDI sourses in OBS(or in Skype that is). A fix other than muting all "cameras" and pull the sound from Skype as one sourse. The issue we have when it comes to this solution is that we dont get a syncron video/sound in OBS. The sound is ahead of the picture and i cant seem to get this fixed by adjusting the Sync offset on the sound sourse. When I match Skype picture with skype sound, it`s sync. NDI sourse on video and sound on VB virtual cable will not match up. I`ve gone from 100 ms til 3500 ms without getting a fix, just some headace.

I havent tried the NDI 4,9 plugin yet, but I suppose this wil not fix my issue, as the sound is not an NDI sourse. Can the 4,9 plugin and the NDI thoug give med sync on sound on the "NDI Skype active speaker". I suppose using only this NDI sourse in OBS will not give ecco, as it only appears when you have more than 2 Skype NDIS in one scene.

I also would like to have the oppetunety to adjust volum on all participans, so I was looking for a NDI sound mixer of some sort (Freebe as our project is purely non profit) Anybody know about such a software?

If there was any fix it would come from Skype, not from OBS, or NDI, or the OBS-NDI plugin. Skype has chosen to implement NDI this way. There's no way for an "NDI mixer" to subtract audio from a stream that Skype has put in.

@Narcogen was partially correct in that the audio IS being capture twice to create the echo. The second input is the 'NDI source' in the mixer. What I discovered (...with a whole lot of testing) is that you really only need 'Desktop Audio' open for your Skype audio. Having 'NDI Source' open is redundant and produces the echo. Also part of the confusion may center around the fact that 'NDI Source' doesn't show up in the mixer in the preview screen when you might be more inclined to make this adjustment, only in the live screen.

Either way, just turn down 'NDI Source' and that should solve the problem. It did for me.

Thanks both for sharing the solution. In my case I disabled all audio inputs to the stream but desktop audio and my Skype/NDI and it worked! Now I can hear everyone without echoes

If you mute the NDI source channel audio in OBS and that all levels are controlled with the main channel (mac seem to gather all incoming audi o into one channel), how can you specifically increase your host output if it is not loud enough? You ask him to increase the gain level on his side?

What worked for me was muting my audio feed on OBS and leaving the guest from Skye on. My mic feed went in through the mic/aux input and the guest came in through the NDI feed.
