Horrendous stutters recording Microsoft flight sim

For some reason in the last few days my recordings have become horrendously stuttery. The simulator is totally smooth. The only way I can stop it happening is to have OBS open as the active window on the same screen as the simulator.

Running OBS as administrator or not has no effect.

Setting the highest priority on task manager for OBS has no effect.

I have game mode enabled with Windows 11, would that cause an issue?

Really Running out of ideas as to what the problem suddenly is!

Log attached, been searching for hours, trying various things and nothing makes a difference whatsoever, reinstalled OBS, updated drivers, changed everything but it still a stuttery unusable mess.

Ok I seem to have resolved the problem by using game capture rather than window. Strange because window has worked for ages. Anyway at least it seems to be fixed

I had the same issue for the first time, just last night, on OBS version 27.2.4... high amount of stutters on window capture, reduced when using game capture. I was playing Witcher 3. This encouraged me to finally update OBS to the new 28.0.3, and that is where my severe audio issues began...
