Hey all - been using obs for around two years now. Mainly recording 4K games at 30fps (local no streaming).
Noticed the new Hitman game 'black screens' when in Direct X12 mode (fullscreen and window capture tested) and while it works dx11 sometimes it'll black screen again and not turn up (after initial working recording). Anyway the game (on the Paris level specifically) has an awful time recording on any resolution (1080p worked but had bad artifacting). Hopefully the Hitman devs are working on a patch for the in game CPU intensive performance.
Otherwise OBS works great and I play/record most games max settings 4K - had to do Rise of the Tomb Raider and The division at 1440p bringing me to my next question:
Any advanced codec settings or advice for recording 4K/30?
I have the ultrafast preset with profile set to 'high' / bitrate 30000kb/s (YouTube recommended) / cbr on (better to turn this off?) / padding off /
