Bug Report High quality computer/connection, wanting help optimizing

Hello,
So I'm a fairly pro League of Legends player who is looking at getting some help fully optimizing my OBS settings for my Twitch League of Legends stream. I have been messing around with the software a lot and can't seem to find the perfect settings for my stream. I believe I have the capabilities to stream at 1920 x 1080, but every guide I read and every setting I try leaves me with either less then desirable quality or dropping frames / choppy game play. If someone who is very good with the setting up with this software could help me out, I would be much appreciated. I can supply any information you would need regarding my ISP info's and computer spec's.

Thanks again for your help and maybe you can stop by the stream sometime :D

Well, first start off by posting a log file from OBS. That will tell us the computer specs we need to know, and help narrow down any issues that might be occurring.

Re: High quality computer/connection, wanting help optimizin

Well, 5500 is entirely too much bitrate. Twitch generally does not like you going over 3500, and 3500 is even enough for 1080p30fps. Lower the bitrate to a more reasonable level, and you shouldn't see any more lag/frame drops. Keep in mind, however, if your viewers do not have decent internet, even 3000 bitrate may be too much for them to view comfortably. Most people SHOULD be able to view bitrates of 3000 or less without problems, though.

As far as choppy gameplay goes...I'm a bit surprised that you would have a choppy gameplay experience on your end. Also, are you watching your stream on the same PC you are streaming from?

I've tried the bitrate at every level and these settings are what seem to give me the best quality for 0 game interference. Like I've said, I've done like a thousand different options and can't seem to get that 1080 quality I know I can. Someone said its cause I wasn't using game capture for League of Legends, but that is because OBS says the league client can't be added unless I am running the 32 bit version of the program :/

Well, you should generally be running the 32bit version of OBS. The only reason you would ever want to run the 64bit version is if you were wanting to use Game Capture on a 64bit game, there's practically no difference between the two. But yes, I imagine that if you are trying to Monitor Capture and stream at 1080p, it's going to make things feel not great in game.

Yes, watching your stream while streaming is known to cause performance issues. Generally what you want to do is stream for a bit, and then check the VOD afterward.
