Question / Help High Ping while streaming since last week

Hello,

I am streaming on twitch.tv for a while and all was good.
Last week I wanted to stream but my ingame ping raised to ~100-200 and Counter Strike is unplayable. (In other games too)

I've already done some speedtests:

These are the exact same values like before but now I'm lagging ingame. I don't even have dropped frames or something like that. I have no idea why its changed, whatever, I cannot stream with this issue.

Here are some settings. If you need more just tell me.

So.... what happens if you do the following.

Start playing CS, stream it... check ping.

Tell me ping.

Without chaning server in your game. Close down OBS and then tell me the ping.

Do that... and you will see if the ping problem is related to OBS... I dont think that it is. But do a test and tell me the results.

Edit.
Also you have an upload of 2.2 .... when you did a test for a few seconds. Do you have 2.2 contonuasly for hours ?
Doing a SPEED test, is not giving you results of LONG TERM SPEEDS.

and the stream is taking 1750 ish.... Yha. Uppgrade your internet or stream in less.

Also you can have a program monitor your internet.
Im using windows 7, if you use other OS you can prob google to find out how to.

Just CTRL+ALT+DEL and then go to "Task Manager" and then "Networking" and you will see info about your internet being used.

If it is anything, it is your low upload rate.

Thanks for your anwser!

I did try the first and my ping without streaming is ~30ms and my ping while streaming is ~160ms, after turning down the stream it goes back to ~30ms.

Yes but as I already mentioned the issue wasn't there before. I was streaming for 4 Month without any lags and now my ping is going crazy. Before the issue, my ping was arround ~50-60ms while streaming and everything was k.

Here another speedtest which I have done now:

The internet traffic OBS uses is arround ~2MBit/s.

EDIT:

I'm using Windows 10 and OBS version 0.11.4 (64bit)

So clearly something has changed, maybe you should do the other things I Asked you.

1st.... As I mentioned, A Speedtest is not good, it measures your speed for 10seconds. Do you play longer hten 10 seconds then the test is useless. Measure your speed for longer periods of time... Dont know how==> "Google / YouTube"

2nd.... Get a program that measures your internet speed upload/download. ... Google for program.

3rd.... try changing the upload speed in OBS from 1750 to 1250. Just to test.

4th... 4 Months ago.... did you have Windows 10, 4 months ago ?... I dont think so. Cleary other things have changed.

5th... If OBS uses 2MBit, how much is left for CS:GO, Windows 10. And other programs you might have running. Even in the background that you are not even aware of. Do you have steam running, Steam checks for updates and other stuff.... you seem to belive that running everything at the edge of your internetspeed should work because the test claimed you had good speed for 10seconds.

Just because OBS did stream without ping problems in the past, does not prove it is OBS causing problems for you now.
END OF THE STORY... YOU NEED BETTER INTERNET TO STREAM !!!

WOW.. Do you work at a customers service? You would fit perfect to this job!"YOU NEED BETTER INTERNET TO STREAM !!!" LOL

1st... If I start the stream the ping is instantly raising and staying at 100ms+ so it doesn't matter the stuff with 10 seconds..

2nd... Done -> NetLimiter

3rd... By changing it to 1250 my ping is going lower and its nearly playable but the quality is like ***

4th... I'm streaming 2-4 times per week for 4 Month. By using windows 7 I had no problems. Either by using windows 10.

5th... OBS uses 1,75MBit so there is ENOUGH for other programs in the background. I see it on my monitor program NetLimiter!

Yeah I don't know where the problem belongs so I started here for finding the reason for it. Maybe I'm not the only one with this problem.
AND AS I ALREADY SAID IT 3 TIMES: IT WAS WORKING FOR 4 MONTH! I HAVE THIS ISSUE SINCE LAST WEEK WHAT DOESN'T MAKE SENSE TO BLAME MY INTERNET FOR! 2,2Mb/s IS TOTALLY OKAY FOR STREAMING IN 720p!!!!

Thank you anyways for wasting your time with my problem (ಥ_ʖಥ)

Yo, im having the same issue. I just got an entire new rig and I dont know why all of a sudden im having such bag ping ONLY when i stream. Do you reckon windows 10 is the issue? Cuz thats what changed with me as well. Maybe how windows prioritises network pathing?
