Question / Help high ping when streaming dota 2

when i normally stream dota 2, i will usually get around 110-125 ms. when i start broadcasting on twitch, my ms will shoot up to 170-200. i've tried lowering my bitrate and it still didnt help.

i ran the upload test on testmy.net and i have 2.8 mb/s.

If you're getting high ping, that means your stream and the game are competing too much for your internet connection. First try enabling "Minimize Network Impact" in Broadcast Settings, and if that still doesn't help, try lowering the bit rate that you are streaming at.

I've been having a similar problem just within the past 5 days or so while streaming Smite. When I start the game everything is running perfectly while streaming. Then suddenly, almost every time during some sort of combat situation, my ping will gradually spike from 70 to 300+ (even up to 900 at times). Sometimes it's different though, sometimes it will gradually raise to 300ish making it impossible to land any sort of skill shot and then at the same pace deminish back to 70. And at others right away the game will become choppy making it impossible to play at all, simply stopping the streaming and starting it right away fixes this one, but it then occurs minutes later.

I'm new to the forums so I'm not sure how to post any sort of log file. I have tried both suggestions mentioned above by dodgepong.
