Question / Help High Ping Spikes while streaming League of Legends

Hi i've been using OBS for about a month or two now and it's so far been a pretty good experience. However, for some reason i've been getting ping spikes that affect my gameplay while playing league of legends. I set my bitrate to 500 and 1000 and for my 5.5mb/s upload speed and the recommended 2000-3000 bitrate i thought i shouldn't receive any problems with in game ping problems. Unfortunately, this is not the case and when i have these in game league of legends ping spikes i also see that the bitrate soars up to 4000 and sometimes 5k. Which is quite insane considering the fact that i put mine at 500 and 1000. I've been having this problem recently and i'm not sure how to fix it thanks for your help.

"Minimize network impact" in broadcast settings is probably what you want to use. Try that setting out, then try again and see if it helps at all.
