Question / Help High latency in TF2

So I decided to try this yesterday. It seemed fine until someone thought I was lagging. I checked the scoreboard, and sure enough, my "ping" (on TF2, scoreboard ping is not the actual ping; and I'm guessing it's latency) is quite a bit higher than it usually is. So today, I compared both OBS and Xsplit. With OBS, I get higher latency but better local performance. With Xsplit, I get lower latency (basically unchanged) but it feels laggier on my end.

Specs:
AMD Phenom II x4 955 Black Edition
HIS Radeon HD 6870
4 GB RAM
75Hz monitor

Tell me if you need any more than that. I want to get some TF2 in before I have to get off.

Try turning down the "send buffer" size in the advanced settings, and see if that doesn't have an effect on your ping. Try 8196, or if you have the latest daily build, 4096.
