hi, I'm having trouble recording using obs with game stuttering.
I'm testing on recording the game "a short hike" (very low graphic game), using obs with resolution 3840 x 1080 (1080p side by side, video on the left, screen on the right).
my system spec is 32gb ram, intel i7-9750H, with RTX2070, here's the log file if needed :
I'm using ultrawide samsung CRG9 monitor with 5120 x 1440 resolution 120 hz if that matters.
The game runs very smooth on stable 120fps when obs is turned off, I run RTSS to check, and even though the frame time is fluctuating, it feels very smooth.
when I run & record using OBS, the game stutter (a bit choppy). So I run RTSS to check the fps & frametime. It still got high fps (100+), but the game feels choppy. so I browse around for solution. Some people say lower the fps, it feels choppy because the frametime is not stable.
I set the game to cap at 60fps, 90fps, and the fps & frametime become very stable, not even fluctuating at all. but the game still feels choppy. when I close obs, the game immediately become smooth again.
I tried changing the recording FPS to 30, 31 (in obs) but still the same problem.
So at this point from technical point of view I don't know what to check. I've disable / enable game mode, uninstall game bar. stable high fps & frame time, and.. still feels choppy. so... I don't know what else to check. could anyone help identify the problem?
