I can stream paladins fine with 60 fps on stream but when it comes to streaming rainbow six siege the stream drops to 20 fps and I am not sure why.

I have an intel core i7 8th gen cpu and an nvidia 1070 gtx graphics card.
For more information this is the computer that I own https://www.amazon.com/Alienware-Au...ocphy=9032051&hvtargid=pla-568467946486&psc=1

These are my obs settings

Thank you for any help!

Apparently this is a big issue as of lately. The only "fix" is to make sure you're using vsync or capping your game FPS to accommodate OBS. This may or may not work for you but you can give it a try, if you aren't already using vsync/fps cap. No one has yet been able to figure out the root/solution to this issue, as far as I know.

I appreciate the help but sadly it did not work. The only time the stream runs smoothly is if I put my game to 60 fps, but I dont want to play at 60 fps. I just want my stream to be 60 fps, but this also doesnt make sense to me because I play paladins at like 160 fps and my stream runs fine

Maybe in Paladins, the GPU load is not at >90%, where in Rainbow Six Siege it is.
Make sure, the GPU load stays under ~95% and the rendering lag should be fine.

Besindes that:
- turn off Win10 GameDVR
- make sure Shadowplay is off
Ok So I turned off Win10 GameDVR and im pretty sure I turned off Shadowplay (went to geforce experience and disabled the in game overlay) I do not however know how to keep track of my gpu load

the freeware tool "GPU-Z" can show and log GPU load
Ok so I did test stream R6 and constantly looked at the GPU load it does spike to 95%> but the moment I alt tab it goes back down to about 10% instantly. Anything I can do to make the GPU load not spike while streaming? (V-Sync doesn't help at all and my frame rate is capped at 240) Thank you so much for your help thus far!

You're asking too much of your GPU at such high FPS not giving OBS any headroom. Your only option it seems is to cap your game FPS to less than 240. Try 144.

Many games reduce ingame fps as soon, as you tab out of them.
FPS cap at 240 is way too high (it's like not having a limit at all).

hello fellaws uhm... i got also a question ?? --> i got a intel hd 4400 and i3-4130 3.40ghz 6gb RAM 2 hdd drives
i want to stream with quicksync but what i do the frames are dropped not so much but i want to have a stable stream to watch at
i got internet speed 4mbps and i set in obs VBR(1300 - 2800) i think its good but i see a lot of frames dropped or ingame lag can someone help me!

Create your own thread if you have your own question that needs answering.

Ive already tried this no luck :/ I tried 144, and even 120 the only the that seems to work decently is 60 fps but even then it drops sometimes.

Ive already tried doesn't work :/

The percentage of lagged render frames is unaffected by reducing in-game FPS from 240 to 60?

That... does not make sense, really, unless there is something going on in that game that is so taxing that it maxes out your GPU even when running at only 60 FPS.

Not to sound like a broken record...It's most likely Game Mode, it was re-enabled, turn it off. Game Mode cripples OBS
