Question / Help High encoding (i5-6600k, r9 280x)

No matter what I do, I lag in EVERY game if I use x264. I'm not interested in using quicksync or amd because it looks like shit. My game does not lag but on stream it does. No matter what resolution my csgo is it's still shit. Getting really tired of this.

Your CPU isn't capable of doing 720p 60fps, and frankly you shouldn't be streaming at that anyway to twitch if you're not partnered.

If you're not, put FPS to 30 and lower bitrate to 2500.

Outside that, you need to put some kind of FPS limit (fps_max or vsync) in CS:GO or it will eat all available resources and cause the issue you're experiencing.

I've seen a lot of threads where people were able to stream 720fps 60fps on this CPU with no issues what so ever. I just changed it to 30 fps and I'm still lagging. :/
