Question / Help High cpu usage when encoding/forum did not help

I am trying to record tf2 with obs. The framerate is fine but the recording will occasionally freeze when i play it back later.

I have looked at the forum about this and did all of the things it suggested but they did not work, and anyways my cpu usage stays below 30 percent. I have multithreaded optimizations enabled.

my cpu is an intel quad core 2.2 ghz i7.

Could be a playback issue, what settings are you using? And what video player are you viewing the video with?

Also, have you turned off the steam overlay? A friend of mine once got horrendous lag in one of his steam games because the overlay was hating on OBS.

the lag is not in the game, It is the recording that freezes.
