Question / Help High CPU Usage since New install

HeyGuys,

I reinstalled my Windows and all other programms a few days ago.
I installed OBS and entered the same settings which I always used.
Started the Stream, played some CS:GO and now..
CPU is constantly at 100%..
OBS needs around 40-50% of my CPU and I dont even use many CRL Browser Sources (before reinstalling, I had around 4-5, and had no problems..)

I really dont know, what the problem is, cause I always played with those settings and never had any problems..
And I know, that my PC can handle those settings, cause as I already said, I streamed with those settings for over 1 year

Use nvenc instead of x264 as encoder; this will reduce the CPU usage of OBS to about 5-10%.

But then, the quality is most of the time, not as good.
And there must be a reason, why it doesnt work out now anymore :/
I remember, that my normal CPU Usage was around 80-90% while streaming before I reinstalled everything (+ I had way more CRL Browser Sources)
Now its 100%, while only using Obs & CS:GO

The browser source isn't "CRL" anymore either.

Have you checked task manager in advanced mode to see exactly where the CPU usage is?

The quality of nvenc in Pascal chip (GTX 10x0) is about the same as x264 veryfast, which is used by you. So you lose nothing by changing to nvenc but gain lower cpu usage.

Do you have any OBS logfiles left from before your reinstallation? Perhaps in some backup? This way we would be able to see if there are some subtle differences that might result in the different CPU usage.
The difference may also be in your game configuration. Perhaps you use higher settings than before.

Oh, okay, didnt know this.
If I check Task manager, CS is around 40% and OBS is between 40-50% consistantly

Sadly, I dont have any old logs anymore & the settings are still the same.
The only I thing i changed is, I play cs in 1280x1024 and I changed my monitor Resolution to 1280x1024 in NVIDIA while playing it.
Before, I played CS also in 1280x1024 but Monitor Resolution was still 1920x1080.. But even if i stay at 1920x1080 nothing changes..
Funny thing, I tried 50 fps & got almost the same cpu usage..
