Hi dear,

Ive got a good game pc i guess so haha. But now i wanted to start streaming so the lil begin is made.
I got the following pc specs:
- intel core i5 4690k
- msi z87 g45 gaming
- 2x (SLI mode) msi geforce gtx 780 ti gaming 3gb
- 16 GB RAM
- water cooling
- 2x benq gw2760hs
- 1x benq xl2720z

But now i started streaming and the CPU usage is with alot, not al, games really high above and around 90%.

So my question is: What should i do now?
Wil a capture card help to reduce the CPU usage?
Or should i buy a i7 and a capture card or what could i do?
I hope you guys could help me. And ofcourse im not a billionaire so i know a second pc 2 titans newest i7 is the best but i cant afford that haha.. So the best for my money and for the stream!

Post a logfile from a live streaming session.

If you're streaming to Twitch and aren't a Partner, exceeding 2000kbps is not advised; 720p@30fps on x264 Veryfast (or lower) fits into that quite nicely, and is generally considered to be the 'golden point' for non-partners. Your i5 should be able to swing that nicely.

A capture card will do nothing for you in a single-PC setup. An i7 would allow you to run at a lower preset and add polish, but it's not a magic bullet. A single GPU would be a good idea though, as SLI setups tend to interact with OBS quite poorly.

Generally I'd expect that you may be trying to stream at too-high settings as the first probable issue, followed closely by the SLI setup. Post a log as it requests when you open a new thread in Q&H, and we can have a look. :)

You should better stream in 720p 30 fps. Your cpu isnt an i7. Set your keyint to 2. Set your max bitrate and buffer to the same number. Use as profil main and not high. If you streaming. Capturecards are just for streaming consoles or streaming with an extra streaming pc for your gaming pc.
You dont need 2 titans. But streaming needs a very good hardware. So i7 would be good for single pc. Maybe i7 4790k. Its one of the most used cpus for streaming in the last years. And just remember. You cannot probably enjoy every stream like you play it without streaming. You will set down your quality and you will have more stucks and fps drops from time to time. If you arent just playing games like lol which doesnt need any performance

Yep, you aren't going to be able to stream at 1080p on that CPU. i5s tend to run out of gas much past 720p@60fps. Also, your bitrate is way too low for 1080, and you're using a custom buffer for some reason.

-Go to Settings->Video and set Resolution Downscale to 1.50 (1280x720, aka 720p)
-Remove the custom buffer. There are very few reasons to use one, and it's one of the biggest flags of a typical Youtube 'guide' that is full of bad or pointless settings.
-Raise bitrate to 2000kbps if you can.
-Disable (uncheck) any captures you aren't using; they add overhead even if they aren't capturing anything. Looks like you have a bunch for no visible reason.
