Question / Help High CPU usage issue

Hi guys,

I want to start streaming csgo, but i still get the high cpu usage issue when streaming live.
My base resolution is 1920 x 1080 and the resolution downscale is at 1.50(1280x720)
the x264 CPU preset is on superfast already and encoding profile is main.
But i've seen many other streamers stream with a worse spec than me.
I dont know what else to do.

My specs are:
NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770
Intel Core i5 - 4570
Upload speed = 11 mb

My encoding settings are:

Max bitrate = 3000
Buffer size= 3500

Please can anybody help me.

Thanks,

Tsquare

The problem persists even with using the ultrafast preset?
If so, you probably need to cap your csgo framerate down to your monitor's refresh rate

I did try ultrafast preset, it will do good but than the stream quality is so bad. Because of the pixels in the screen. How do i cap my cs go framerate down to my monitors?

It's so weird the pevieuw is good but if i go live it goes bad.
Just do me a favor, just remove the -high and the -threads options from your launch option. Those options often cause issues with OBS since it effectively uses many threads. there isn't much of a difference of CS:GO using more than 3 threads, which is the default. EDIT: sometimes you'll see a decline in performance especially in the cases where OBS is used to stream.
