Question / Help High CPU Encoding on Good PC

So im fairly new to all of this, and i wanna start recording videos for Youtube, and eventually try out streaming. These are my specs:
Intel Core i5 4430 3.0GHz
8GB RAM
1TB HDD
R9 390 8GB
600w PSU

Im wondering if this setup can get me 1080p 60FPS recordings. I could do 1080p 60fps on FRAPS, but then the video size is like 1GB per 10 seconds. If it cant get me 1080p60fps, what settings do you guys recommend?

You can record 1080p60 by using QSV on x264 you might hit your Limits as far as recording goes. Streaming you are pretty much limited to 720p30 on Veryfast Preset though it depends on what Game you are playing.

QSV is faded out for me (i cant click it). I tried the settings in the link you posted before and when i tried recording overwatch, it would just be stuck on 1 frame unless i alt tab out. When i alt tab out and look at the OBS client, it says high encoding warning.

Google How to Enable QSV. You have to update Intel HD Drivers and sometimes enable it in BIOS.

If you test Settings make sure to post a Logfile.
