Question / Help Hide transitions panel?

To hide the transitions panel, uncheck Lock UI in View -> Docks
This will allow you to rearrange the UI panels, pop them out, or hide them.

You can't hide the quick transitions menu between Preview and Program in Studio mode
 
In Studio Mode these controls (between "Preview" and "Program") is hardcoded and cannot be disabled. You can popup Projectors for both parts of the window and hide application to the taskbar or to tray. There is vertical layout for Studio Mode and Multiview. That's all you can use right now.
 
I've made a custom style theme to Yami, that hides the transition controls, still some space left though, can't seem to fix that. It also hides the virtual cam buttons and exit button, you can remove the code for that if you don't want to hide them.
