Hi8 VCR image bleed

I am new to OBS, so am unfamiliar with its possibilities. I am looking for a filter that can reduce image bleed from some very old Hi8 tapes. Any line of the image that changes suddenly from light to dark or dark to light produces a streak in the image. It looks like overshoot or ground bounce in the signals. I don't know whether this is coming from the old tape or the VCR or the DigitNow USB video capture. Is there any help for the problem?

A screenshot would be nice.

But from your description, I strongly suspect it's a hardware problem. Could be a bad tape, or a bad player, or a bad capture. OBS just passes through what it gets from the capture.

As for a filter to fix it, a screenshot would show what's actually needed far better than a wall of text can. Maybe it's fixable, maybe not.
