Question / Help Hi, fairly new to OBS

Alright so, I'm using OBS to do some Let's Plays for my youtube channel, but I'm having a bit of trouble. I tried using XFire in conjunction with it to get my face put in the corner, it seemed to work fine, I was able to record with my facecam set in place, only the problem was when I played it back. During the playback of my recording, it didn't record my facecam that was included in the video itself. In short, during recording, I saw myself, in the playback, it wasn't there.

I know the way to do it, (The long ass way at least) is to seperately record my face on a different program, then record the gameplay footage, and THEN use a program (WMM or SVP) to sync them together, and not to be stuffy but, I don't got that kind of time. This program is insanely amazing just alone for the file size it gives when recording for extended periods, but I don't see a way to add my face cam in the videos. Please tell me there's a way to do all of this at once within OBS.

I know that the gaming recording "Scene" is still "Experimental" as it says in the description for it, that's why I'm thinking maybe there isn't a way to do this just yet? I'm really hoping in the future. This Christmas, I'm finishing my computer, going to have an unlocked black edition A8, 8 cores, 12 gigs of memory, a Terabyte harddrive and a GTX 560 Ti, so I'll pretty much be able to run any game on anything, and this program is so amazing, and I would love nothing more than to record with it.

I appreciate any help you guys can give me.

TL;DR: Is there a way within OBS itself to record my facecam as well as gameplay together in one file? Basically, have my facecam up in the program, and have it actually capture that, since it won't capture Xfire's facecam.

Edit: Please, refrain from using the word "Fraps" as it will unleash the hordes of hell..Thanks. :)

I think I would have to see what you mean specifically, isn't XFire some social gaming thing? Facecam? For some reason this keeps mixing in my brain and I keep thinking webcam, I don't know specifically what you mean. If you do want a webcam it should be as easy as adding device capture (preferably as a global source)

Game capture is primarily just for fullscreen game applications, and it should work fine in general. If you can run your games windowed, you can use the regular software capture method.

Jim, what I meant was how some people in video's have their gameplay footage, and in the upper right, or upper left of the video, they have a small box of their reactions. Reactions are important for my channel since I do Let's Plays of horror games like Slender, SCP, etc. And Warchamp, I'm not too sure what you mean, I'll have to add another Scene and make it my webcam also? Gonna try this and see what happens, if this isn't what you mean, I'll let you know what happens. Holy crap!! I feel stupid, it worked! Thanks so much. This one can be considered solved.

The answer was yes, add another "Video capture" and add it as a "Scene" right under the game name in the same box, thanks! Thanks a LOT! =O
