Question / Help Hey! Configuration help

Hey, I was wondering if anyone could help me configure a good pair of settings for LOCAL RECORDINGS, because i have fiddled with the settings and someone of the recordings still come out choppy even though when I am playing it is now.
SPECS:
Intel core i7-4790 3.6 ghz
RAM: 16gb
Graphics card is nvidia geforce gtx 745
I also have a hard drive and a ssd drive.
