HEVC has corrupt video when recording, Premier Pro reports constant errors when played back

I want to use HEVC to record my streams but the last time I used it had corrupt video. When using VLC it plays back corrupt video and Premiere Pro report a lot of errors while playing back. It happens when I show at least one game capture as I stream. No issues with H.264 whatsoever. No issues with audio using both codecs.

Here's the log: https://obsproject.com/logs/Svc8Cz0TdtBEnlMO

I made a short video showing both: https://drive.google.com/file/d/1MNgxirEvZQQnr1CV3aOG8NKx6Yu6d2fZ/view?usp=drive_link (video has no audio)

The log is incomplete & H265 wasn't even encoded, only H264.

Something seems weird with the 3090, it's on Adapters 0, 1 & 2. Not sure what the deal is there.

There's some java script errors that should be dealt with.

I stopped counting at 50 but you have a huge amount of Media Sources & Hardware Decoding is being used for all but a few of them. Disable it for all but a few.

Double check your plugin's. Some have been updated.

Your Scenes are messy. There's multiple Game/Display or Window captures in a bunch of them. Only (1) per to avoid interference.

Here's an example.

12:25:40.478: - scene 'safari-like game scene':
12:25:40.478: - source: 'audio handler (generic)' (scene)
12:25:40.478: - source: 'VR audio handler for safari' (scene)
12:25:40.478: - source: 'black Color Source' (color_source_v3)
12:25:40.478: - filter: 'Color Correction' (color_filter_v2)

From the link below. Info on Hardware Decoding & Media Sources.

Where do we go from here?

I’ve been saying for a while: It’s time for these GPUs to get better decode performance. While new codecs (VP9, AV1) have been added to the decode capabilities over time, the raw number of videos you could decode before running into performance issues has been small.

While not many users may be playing back a bunch of videos at the same time in-browser (though I can think of a couple scenarios where one might) this affects streamers who want dynamic stream layouts. These use video files as media sources, and you can only have a couple on one scene using hardware decoding before performance issues crop up – the rest have to have hardware decoding disabled.

This could be using, I mean wasting resources in the background...

12:25:33.954: Avast Antivirus: enabled (AV)

Looks like a settings error, switch these up.

12:25:33.951: Game DVR: On > Off
12:25:33.951: Game Mode: Off > On

Many videos used as overlays are disabled and only one is triggered by a reward. Otherwise, an overlay scene, a game capture, an avatar capture and web browsers from a few sites. Some sources are "nested" into a scene.

All of that stuff has some sort of error or needs attention. Overlay/Java Script, Scenes/Sources, Media Source settings. Lots of waste with the current settings.

I tried looking for Game DVR mode setting in Windows 11 but I can't seem to find it. Game mode is turned on.

that was from old scenes I no longer use. deleted those. I also noticed that there is no window popping up for missing media files; can we have that turned on/off using its settings?

On W10 Game DVR is called "Captures" if that helps.

I'm not sure what you're asking. I know that a missing files dialog will display when OBS is started & files are missing but I've never seen it.
