HEVC / H265 Setting missing despite enabling all codecs

have a Ryzen 3600x with Nvidia GTX960 here, and trying to RECORD in h265. Are there other steps required to enable x265/HEVC encoding?

On the Custom Output set your Container Format to Matroska (mkv) and then you will have access to the Video Encoders.

dude, I just showed you exactly what I'm seeing based on YOUR instructions. there is NO MKV inside.

If you can't make any changes, you may have an output active (Virtual cam, NDI) & need to turn it off.

No I don't have any active output, otherwise I won't be able to change anything else, including bitrate.

It's not greyed out but there is no MKV option.

please check if you can scroll in that dropdown-box.
I didn't notice that either until someone pointed out in a different post that they missed that as well, so we are not alone.

Also, replies like "OK genius" are completely unnecessary.
