So I am trying to start recording my screen my dad does not wanna mess up this really good pc so I need to know is this fully free no free trials or a money
So please fully confirm this is free no virus and good for screen recording.

BUT real-time video encoding is demanding on a PC, so specs need to be up to snuff.
You may hear/read about running OBS as (local) admin, but that is only if you have hardware resource contention issues (typically). There are security downsides to running user software as an admin.. so beware

As for asking on a forum and trusting the answer..... not really a good idea. With that said, if you look around, OBS is well deployed and used software, across a range of industries, including professional use, and as long you are careful regarding 3rd party plug-ins, I've not come across any reports of malware.
