I recently started streaming and I have ran into this problem that I just can't seem to fix, my stream looks crystal clear whenever I am on like loading screens and things that are not moving very fast but once I get into a game and the action picks up stream looks very pixelated.
I have tried loads of different settings from 720 30-60 frames, 1080 30-60 frames, 2000-3500 bitrate, nothing I have tried has worked.
here is an example of what I'm talking about: http://www.twitch.tv/iamfacade/v/19901965
This is at 720p, 30 frames, 3500 bitrate.

Post a logfile. Upload it from the Help menu, and post the link here. We actually need it, to be able to help.

3500kbps is more than you will want to use as a non-partnered caster; you want to limit that to 2000kbps. Still, you should not get that much pixellation unless you're using something like NVENC or QSV, a preset faster than Veryfast on x264, or something else is very wrong with your settings (eg: followed a random 'best settings' tutorial).

Set your x264 preset back to Veryfast. It's on Ultrafast (terrible compression, low CPU usage) so looks like crap. The slower the preset is, the better the compression used but the more CPU it takes. You have an i7... you probably can use Faster, Fast, or even Medium (test these for 20 minutes at a time, watching temps and CPU load).

THANK YOU SO MUCH! the stream looks so much better after changing this!
