Hello everyone,

I'm having a hard time tuning my OBS settings for my pc, mainly DayZ. Can someone lend me a hand? My computer specs is listed below.

1. Can someone help me tune OBS so I can stream high quality @ 1080p/720p?
2. Is there a way to only stream my voice and my games instead of everything (eg. teamspeak, window sounds, and security notifications)?
3. When I alt tab out of DayZ, my stream and preview screen freezes at the last scene. Even when I tab back in to the game. It still doesnt change. What happened?

well thats finally an high end desktop pc :)


due to twitch they want you to use the "main" profile and an keyinterval of 2 @ advanced options

the only possible problem might be the fact that you are running sli since sli is known for causing problems with streaming sometimes


since you already run 720p60 @ 3500 bitrate which is pretty much what i would have suggested anyway except for the bitrate because i dont know if you are a partnered streamer on twitch.

720p60 is imo one of the best choices for fps streams

everything else i could suggest would be trying different presets and see how it much it benefits you with quality and how much your cpu gets taxed by using a slower preset i would probably start right away with the fast preset

Another thing to keep in mind is that the grass in DayZ wrecks x264...even with very high quality settings, you're going to get some blocking when compressing grass.

If you can space the CPU cycles, you could try using the faster or fast x264 preset.

ohh btw.. my keyboard and mouse clicks are sooo loud.. how do I make those sounds disapear but keep my sexy voice activation on . =)
