Just recently, I got optic fiber connection. I've been streaming 360p for few years now so that was a more than welcome change. While i was excited to get the stream quality up to 720p, that brought another issue. CPU usage.
Now, my CPU is far from good, maybe its decent at best. Its Intel Core 2 Quad Q8300 (OC @ 3.00Ghz). So running a game and a 720p stream bring some thunder down on my system. Rest of the specs are 8GB ram, 100/20 internet connection, AMD ATI HD 6900 Series with 2GB VRAM. Not that it matters but still.
Now, why am i making this post? I'd like to hear your guys' opinion on the matter. What kinda settings do you recommend for the setup? Currently im running OBS at 3000 bitrate, 1.5 downscale to 720p, veryfast x246 preset and im messing around with priority. I appreciate you reading all the way through, and hope you got some tips for me! ;)
