So when i saw OBS had support for NVENC I knew I had to use it over shadowplay because OBS has so much customization. So i recorded a League of Legends video about 25m long. When i go to play it back it takes forever and a half if i want to skip to a part of the video and it usually ends up crashing. I know its a problem with NVENC because x264 works fine for skipping but lags too much unless I go lower quality. I dont want to have to switch back to shadowplay because of this! Is there a fix?

Use that guide but change the bitrate to 30000 kb/s, set buffer to 0, set it to use NVEnc encoding. Set profile to High, keyframe interval to auto, CFR on. Use High Quality (HQ) preset if you have a 900 series, High Performance (HP) preset if you don't. Try that and if you have problems, post an OBS log file from a 5 minute or longer recording while using those settings.
