Question / Help Help with Microphone?

I'd just like to start this off by saying I'm recording an gaming session for one of my college projects.

Funny enough, OBS registers my i-Pod knock off head phones as a micro phone when Andrea Technology is on and I can tell during a stream that it is picking up my voice.

Unfortunately when it saves the stream as a video, however, you can hear everything but my voice...is there a setting I need to change or get an actual microphone?

I'm not sure what to do here as I am new to the program.
 
Yeah, Settings>Audio>Microphone/Aux device. Just check to make sure the right mic is chosen.
 
Thanks, guys. It turned out I just needed a better microphone. Even though it was painfully obvious, thanks for your help!
