Question / Help Help with Microphone Volume

For some reason I don't get any microphone sound when I preview/ record. I cannot change the Audio Input Device which could indicate the problem. So whenever I start the recording, the microphone cuts out almost like I muted it. I have attached multiple pictures. Please help and ask any questions.
