Hello I encode via gpu as it is my only option, I think my stream quality is alright, but I want to maximize what I can with the bitrate I seem to be stuck with at my university. Can someone inform me on what settings I should be using to maximize the quality?

Build i5 6600k in a ASUS B250F Motherboard (I messed up and cant overclock it, nothing I can really do now I have heard it enough times)
1060 6GB VRAM factory OC (somewhere in the 2100 mhz range)
16GB RAM
1 tb HDD WD

You want GPU encoding help but don't reveal which GPU you have....

Anyways, change the Preset to High Quality and the Profile to High. That's probably correct if you have one of the most common Nvidia GPUs.

Alright, then what I said should be fine. Just know that GPU encoding isn't very good for streaming, compared to CPU. If you want more specific advise, then use the best setting you can come up with and post an OBS log file from at least 5 minutes of high action gameplay.

That log file looks clean. That's probably as good as it'll get with GPU encoding. The only other thing you could do is record instead of stream, and then upload the recording later. If you did recording, you'd want to not downscale and increase the bitrate by an order of 10. Or switch it to CQP mode.
