Help with getting started with transitions?

Can someone point me in the right direction please, is there a good tutorial article or video?

I see where in OBS I can add a "scene transition" but I am not exactly sure how to use it. I created a scene, added a Scene Transition (Fade in this case), and then added my OTHER scene in as a source (the other source I want it to transition to), it's not working but I'm probably not doing this right at all :)

I also tried playing the first scene (where I added the transition) and then clicking the other scene I want it to transition to, but not working either.

Ah wait, I think that did work, I increased the ms time and now I notice a transition once I click to the next scene.

I think I'm good!
