You're playing at/your monitor has an odd resolution; have you tried resizing your video player? Most of them pad out any non-AR space in the window with black. It could be that the black corners you're seeing aren't actually in the recorded video.

Also, DON'T use Monitor Capture. It's terribad and slow under Win7, and should be avoided at ALL COSTS. Also, enable Aero. Turning it off to improve performance is bad information from back in the Vista days that keeps hanging around. Having Aero ON will actually make OBS run faster and smoother. If you need monitor capture for some reason (game and window cap are preferable), then make a Game Capture and set it to the DWM process. It will capture your primary monitor, and isn't slow as crap like MonCap is under Win7.
