Question / Help Help with 16:10 aspect ratio

So i did some research on the subject and was only able to find an old thread about stretching it to eliminate the black bars on each side of the twitch preview. I tried to stretch it by holding the hotkey on my OBS software and it shows full screen in the software but on twitch it of course isnt because twitch is defaulted at 16:9. In my OBS downscale options it doesnt list any 16:9 resolutions at all ;(

So my question here is my monitor supports 16:10 1600x1050 . Previously with xsplit I was able to stream without the bars on the side by disabling the keep aspect ratio option. I really would like to use OBS as it preforms so much better and I love the layout a lot better. So What I would like to find out is what I should try / do next to get rid of these dang bars. I dont mind distorting the picture a little to eliminate them but I dont want it looking like crap either.

Any and all help is majorly appreciated.

EDIT: I do not have black bars on the sides of my preview window, just on twitch.

Please don't stretch your aspect ratio, it looks really really bad.

If you absolutely have to, though, then set your Base resolution to a 16:9 resolution and when you edit the scene, hold Shift and drag the edges of the source to stretch it.

Please don't though :( :( :(

The correct solution is to run your game at a 16:9 resolution or buy a 16:9 monitor, any other solution is wrong. Of course you can continue streaming at 16:10 too without any problems either, except people with 16:9 monitors will see black bars which is normal and expected.

Well considering 16:9 is the standard for aspect ratios, I would like to not have the bars for most of my viewers. I also do not use the game option, i use screen region as league of legends uses a small client window when not in game.

Is there anyway I could use a media file to cover those black bars, such as my sponsors, etc? In OBS it doesnt show the bars on the sides so I have no idea where I would even position the media files.

I also dont get what you mean by stretch it to a 16:9 . It literally consumes the entire viewing window in preview mode.

It covers the preview window because your preview window is 16:10. You'd need to set a 16:9 resolution in OBS to add stuff to the side.
