Question / Help help what streaming settings should i have?

so i have looked at the obs streaming estermator but if i copy all of the recomended settings into my obs for streaming my stream lags and was wondering if i could get some answers from real people to see if it is my internet or the estimator here are my pc specs:

nivida 970 graphics card
Intel Core i5 4590 @ 3.30GHz
16GB of ram
Gigabyte Technology Co. Ltd. H81M-S2H motherboard

so im wondering what do i set it to?

Don't bother streaming in 1080p on twitch as the bitrate is too low. Use 720p and the slowest preset your PC can handle

you are saying the stream lags but there isn't much duplicated frames present in the Log so the PC is not at fault. What speed do you get on http://www.speedtest.net/ ?

Upload Speed is plenty sufficient for your bitrate

What kind of lag are you experiencing? Is the stream not smooth and is there any jerkiness?

Does it jitter even at 720p?

You do know that the FPS is limited to 30 so it wont be as smooth as you playing on the PC

ok i will try it at 720 because when i though i set it to that it made my stream screen really thin :/ and thanks for all of your help so far!

ok also anotherthing is do you have to do a resolution downscale to get 720 stream?

If you are playing at 1080p natively then you should downscale to 720p preferably using the lanczos filter

why don't you use downscaling? it helps remove any aliasing effects compared to recording at 720p natively
