Hi everyone,
After recently hearing about OBS, and its ability to not only stream but record to a file locally i decided to jump in and give it a shot. so far i'm very impressed but i'm confused as to what i should have the settings at. My goal is to record footage of various games and upload the file to youtube. Previously i used another screen recorder software and windows live movie maker to shrink down the raw file, but i was less than impressed with the quality. I'm hoping OBS can help me in that regard and if possible skip the part of having to go into windows live movie maker just to shrink the file.
If it helps my system specs are:
CPU: i5 3570k @ 4.4ghz
RAM: 8GB G.Skill 1600
GPU: 2 GTX 670's in SLI
Native Monitor Res: 1920x1080

Edit: i'm also noticing that OBS isnt picking up the sound of Assassins Creed 3 or Sleeping Dogs. i'm not sure why this is happening as it picks up sound fine from starcraft 2 and WoW. for sources i'm using "Game Capture". is this a common bug?
