Question / Help Help plz. Voicemeeter VAIO output -> no sound in Streamlabs OBS

Hi guys,

For over a week now I've been breaking my brain over how to use VMB the right way, but I can't figure it out.

Here's the schematic. This is how I have it setup and no matter what I do, no sound is coming out of Voicemeeter VAIO if I plug it into OBS Streamlabs.. or anything else.

Voicemeeter VAIO AUX works fine... super weird.

I've connected Spotify directly (Cable-B Output) to Streamlabs, because I only have one Virtual Out working atm, so if I don't, I cannot separately control whether my
stream hears Spotify or not.

Please guys tell me how I am failing :)

Apart from the fact that this is the forum for OBS Studio and no support forum for Streamlabs OBS, you asked the wrong question. You basically asked: "I did this and that, but the result is not what I expected. Why?" The question should be: "I have this and that. I want to achieve this. I did this and that. But it happened that. What should I do to achieve my goal?"

From a quick glance of the schematics, I see you want to capture the recording device of Voicemeeter VAIO in OBS. In Voicemeeter, this device gets the output of the B1 bus. If I see your Voicemeeter screenshot, I don't see any device that is connected to bus B1. They are either connected to bus A1 or B2. But nothing is connected to B1. In Voicemeeter, connect the devices to B1 you want to output to Voicemeeter VAIO.

Ok yes. Good point about streamlabs.
Also I apologize for asking the question wrong. I was simply trying to provide all the information one might need to help me.

Finally. I know nothing is connected to B1... that's because it doesn't work... so I turned it off for the moment I should have thought of that when taking the screenshot. Basically your advice is solid, but not the solution to my problem unfortunately :(
